The official title of the project is "Virtual Vegas - simultaneous 3D modeling in a virtual and real-world environment".
Soon, I'll post more about the inspiration behind the idea and my plans for it. For now, here's an outline of the concept:
An interactive experience involving a physical model and screen-based model of the Las Vegas strip. RFID tags and webcam-based motion detection track the user’s movements using the model and translate these movements to the screen. As users approach a particular building they are presented with additional information via a Flash-based interface.
